About Our Emcee
Carolyn Holly will be leading our program as emcee. A long time and active member of the Treasure Valley, Carolyn Holly currently serves as Vice President of Marketing, Communication, Public Relations and Community Engagement for Saint Alphonsus Health System. Holly also enjoyed a 33 year career at KTVB Channel 7 television, where she became one of Idaho's most experienced and best known television personalities.

with Joel Flake
Joel moved back to Idaho following his graduation from the University of Michigan Law School in 2002. Following his federal clerkship with the Hon. Larry M. Boyle, Joel worked as an attorney for the law firm of Moffatt Thomas in Boise, Idaho.
In 2006, Joel co-founded Gemtek Pest Control, Inc. in Boise, Idaho, and over the next 10 years helped grow its annual revenue from $0 to $3,500,000. During that time, Joel also helped form a pest control owners' peer review group representing in excess of $50,000,000 in annual pest control revenue from various companies located across the United States.
In 2013, Joel co-founded Gemtek Homekeeping, Inc., a Boise residential and commercial cleaning company, and in 2015 he and a business partner acquired Custom Bedbug, Inc., a northwest regional heat remediation bed bug company.
In 2016, Joel sold Gemtek Pest Control, Inc. to a global pest control conglomerate--at a significant multiple over historical industry standards. Earlier that same year, Joelhad also sold his interests in Custom Bedbug, Inc.… and just last month, he sold Gemtek Homekeeping, Inc. to a local buyer.
Since that time, Joel has recently acquired Midwest Pest Control, Inc., with offices located in Little Rock, Arkansas and Springfield, Missouri. Further, he has also recently founded Pest Secure, Inc., located in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Joel is currently serving as President Elect of the Idaho Chapter of the Entrepreneurs' Organization.
Fear Motivates Success
with Chad Babcock
Chad and Katie Babcock began building their programs with the conception of the Magic Tumble Bus mobile gymnastics in 1998. Chad and Katie both hold Idaho Teacher Certification, as well as several U.S.A. Gymnastics Coaching and Safety Certifications. Chad is a three-time NCAA All-American Gymnast and member of the Idaho Athletic Hall of Fame. They continued to grow their programs with the opening of Tumble Time Gymnastics in the fall of 1999. Outgrowing that facility in 2004, they built a custom, environmentally-friendly "green" building, which opened in January of 2005. The current children's facility houses not only gymnastics classes, but preschool, before and after school, and camp programs. Jump Time Meridian was added to the family in 2010, Jump Time Boise in 2012, Jump Time Twin Falls in 2013, Soccer Time Twin Falls in 2014. With the addition of several liability companies, there are 13 companies part of this Tumble Time family. Their genuine love of people is the focus of their programs, which is supported by the Tumble Time motto, "Happy, Healthy Families."
Peace Corp To Flower Power An Entrepreneurial Journey With Liza Roeser-Atwood
Liza Roeser Atwood is a global entrepreneur who has learned to navigate through the risks and rewards of owning her own business. Join her as she discuss her journey and the importance of maintaining focus and networking. After graduating from Texas A&M, Liza entered Peace Corps and worked in Ecuador helping small business development. With no desire to return to the states, she worked with Colombian and Ecuadorian Flower Growers until starting her businesses. While residing in Ecuador she was named one of the most successful business women of the year. Fast forward to the year 2017 and Liza is now resides in Boise along with her Husband and Business partner, Blu, and their two beautiful daughters. Together they continue to operate Farm Fresh Exports and FiftyFlowers into a multimillion dollar global enterprise.

Eric received an engineering degree from Western Washington University, then spent about 10 years in engineering across various organizations. He started The Loop Technologies in 2006 to deliver a premium service and product experience. Since the company's inception, they have grown to 9 people and look forward to continued growth over the next couple years.
