Meg Carlson is the Founder and CEO of Generate Growth dba UPROAR providing strategic advisory and fractional CSO/CMO accelerating early stage food and beverage brands. Meg advises entrepreneurs in growing their businesses. Meg has an extensive background in strategic business development and general management gained through 30 years of experience in building brands and teams. Previously Ms. Carlson led Prosperity Organic Foods, as President & CEO from 2010 to 2018, while serving as investor, adviser and Board of Director member since 2008. Prosperity Organic Foods is growing MELT® as a brand helping parents make better food choices through amazing plant-based alternatives to dairy staples. Under her leadership the business expanded from start-up with just $130 thousand in sales revenues to emerging growth company with revenues of nearly $3 million and distribution across North America. The company was recognized on both 2017 & 2018 Inc 5000 Fastest Growing lists. As cofounder/principal of Carlson Hall, she provided merger and acquisition advisory services to privately held companies for ten years. Prior executive roles include COO of Duckets®, an internet marketing company in 2000-01, and 16 years with HJ Heinz affiliate Ore-Idaho Foods. Her executive leadership skills were honed as a VP and Management Board member for 8 years, where she successfully created a new business unit and directed its expansion from $100 million to $240 million in sales revenues over 5 years by building healthy brands brands like Bagel Bites. She has garnered recognition for leadership throughout her career, culminating in the 2018 Idaho CEO of Influence award, 2018 Women of Influence recognition, 2016 Rotary District Ethics in Business Award, and 2014 Silver & Gold award from the University of Idaho for ‘a distinguished record of achievement and service in a specialized area of endeavor.’ Other awards include Boise Chamber Small Business of the Year 2008, Women of the Year 2006, and TWIN (Tribute to Women in Industry) Honoree in 1996. Meg is an Emeritus member of the Advisory Board for the University of Idaho College of Business and Economics, and most recent Chairman of the Board of the Arid Club. Meg and her spouse Jim are proud parents of Matthew (Anna Marie) Carlson and grandchildren Olive and Henry. In addition to chapter leadership roles she also serves as an EOA coach, chairs the Global Mentorship Subcommittee and serves on the Global External Engagement Committee.
