eTT Aviation

Tom's Entrepreneur Story:

Tom founded eTripTrader in 2002. He gained experience in the aviation industry as a fighter pilot for the US Air Force and later for United Airlines as a commercial pilot. He saw an obvious need for an easier way for United pilots and flight attendants to find and trade trips. With the help of his son, Chris, Tom created eTripTrader to improve the quality of life of United crewmembers. 15 years later, the original product has been renamed “Crew Companion,” and now serves tens of thousands of United Airlines pilots and flight attendants.

Further leveraging his 30 years in aviation, Tom expanded the product offerings of eTripTrader to include the comprehensive air operations suite called “SkedFlex.” Following the advent of this innovative product, eTripTrader was rebranded as “eTT Aviation” to better encompass the broad reach of the growing company. Today, SkedFlex supports more than 30,000 crewmembers and airline operators at several different airlines.

The success of eTT Aviation is due in large part to Tom’s encyclopedic understanding of the needs of airline customers, including aircrew scheduling, airline management, and logistical planning, to the benefit of the full eTT Aviation product line. This has led to eTT Aviation’s rapid product development, by both depth and breadth, while maintaining its iconic devotion to prompt and effective customer service.

Tom is a certificated Airline Transport Pilot with more than 6,000 hours of flight time among many aircraft types including the Boeing 737 (300/500), Airbus (A319/A320), military aircraft (T-37, T-38, C-12F, KC-135R), and corporate aircraft including Beechcraft Premier, Pilatus PC12, and others. Tom is a member of the Regional Airline Association (RAA), Regional Air Cargo Carriers Association (RACCA), Entrepreneur’s Organization (EO), and the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce. Tom owns a ranch with his wife of 33 years in Eagle, Idaho, where he is an active member in the local community.
